- Break down actions into steps. SHOT ONE - WS Student walking through the door. SHOT TWO - CU Student's hands putting books down on the table. SHOT THREE - WS Student moving the chair to where he needs it, sitting down, opening the book, pulling out a sheet of paper and taking notes. You should be changing shots every six seconds, or every four sentences.
- Draw exactly what we'll see on screen. Fill the shot with the characters. If you draw tiny little people with tons of room above their heads, I'll ask you to redraw, plus you'll get a lower grade.
- Use a variety of images. Use OTS, CU, FS and all the other tools at your disposal to show the characters from different angles.
